This open access, online book reports on analysis by the ESPA Deltas project. The project used a model, the Delta Dynamic Integrated Emulator Model (ΔDIEM), to analyse the present and future of the vast Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna delta in a policy-relevant way in order to benefit ecosystems, livelihoods and people.

Women’s agency and adaptive capacity in climate change hotspots in Asia and Africa

Drawing on data from 25 qualitative case studies across three hotspots in Africa and Asia, this paper shows how and in what ways women’s agency, or the ability to make meaningful choices and strategic decisions, contributes to adaptation responses.
