The organisations will address their alliance at GLF Africa 2024, the continent’s largest conference on ecological restoration this year, in Nairobi, Kenya, on the 17th September 2024.

The awards celebrate innovative projects that are transforming communities through the practical application of climate resilience knowledge. Each winner received a prize of 100,000 Swedish Krona and support in showcasing their work.

Launch of CDKN in Senegal seeks to accelerate inclusive climate action On the 16th July 2024, the CDKN programme was officially launched in Senegal, the first francophone country to join the programme in its third phase. Senegal joins Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Namibia as the fifth focal country in Africa, and will be led by ENDA ENERGIE.

Tribute to CDKN's Ritu Thakur The staff of CDKN announce with great sadness the loss of our friend and colleague Ritu Thakur. Ritu was an integral part of CDKN, working with ICLEI South Asia from 2010 and CDKN since 2018. Although shocked by her passing, the CDKN team celebrates Ritu’s contributions to our lives.

CDKN Ghana implements Climate Activists Programme to empower young people to take climate action In an effort to enhance the capacity of young people, the CDKN Ghana programme implemented the Climate Activists Programme (CAP), a six-week learning and skills building initiative centred on climate activism and eco-entrepreneurship across the country.
