As a Least Developed Country (LDC), which is highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, Nepal has a high stake in the outcome of the UNFCCC negotiations. CDKN is supporting the Government of Nepal to ensure its participation in the UNFCCC is strategic and delivers results for Nepal.

CDKN is working with the Partners for Resilience (PfR), a unique alliance between three humanitarian/development organisations and two environment/climate centres of expertise, to scale up the best practices of the partners in Asia.

Access to modern energy remains a major challenge for many developing countries. Modern energy services are fundamental for human development and for those living in extreme poverty- a lack of access to modern energy services has adverse impacts including increasing inequality. This project identifies successful climate compatible development (CCD) models in sub-Saharan Africa which have different combinations of stakeholders in complex and dynamic governance and political economy contexts. Poverty alleviation, partnerships and sharing experiences are central to this project.
