New framework launched - 'Framework for Water Security and Climate Resilient Development'
The African Ministers' Council on Water (AMCOW) launched the CDKN-supported 'Framework for Water Security and Climate Resilient Development' at Africa Water Week in Cairo on 14 May. The Framework will help decision makers and practitioners in Africa integrate climate resilience into water plans and investments.
The InfoAmazonia GeoJournalism Platform builds on existing simple yet effective mapping and visualisation technologies, such as Google Earth, to help journalists and other knowledge brokers increase the Latin American public’s awareness about climate and development issues in the Amazon region.
Over two years, CDKN supported the Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) to improve the quality and quantity of climate change coverage in the developing country media, enhance the capacity of journalists to cover the issues and ensure developing country voices are heard in global debates.
CDKN commissioned Inter Press Service (IPS) to produce a series of news articles on climate and development issues in the run up to COP-16 in Cancun, Mexico, in December 2010.
