A CDKN-supported project in Namibia has produced a graphic harvest to highlight the implications of the latest research findings on what global warming of 1.5°C means for Namibia, a climate change hotspot and an already very dry, hot and water-stressed country.

The Gambia: Women’s group boosts resilience in the face of crisis
Mama Jobe Jeng is a farmer in The Gambia’s west coast region and member of the local organisation Tresor Women Warrior. She recounts how belonging to the group has strengthened her ability to cope with COVID-19 and argues that the government should support women’s groups with resources and information in order to shore up community resilience more widely. This project is now in its second phase of promoting low-carbon footprint and climate-resilient development in cities, CDKN is working with the municipalities of Quito (Ecuador), La Paz (Bolivia) and Lima (Peru).
