Can small-scale adaptation actions address the food crisis in the Horn of Africa? Dr. Richard Munang argues that in the Horn of Africa, large-scale commercial agriculture will fail to pull countries out of a cycle of food crises. The only way to break the cycle is to adopt small-scale farming methods that nurture ecosystem services.

Hosted by UNECA's African Climate Policy Centre, the strong 'development first' message of the conference set the stage for 'Africa's CoP' in Durban.
