Legal Response Initiative (LRI) wins Climate Week Award
A major initiative funded by CDKN to assist poor and climate-vulnerable countries to make their voices heard in the global climate negotiations has won a Climate Week Award.
This project aims to address the current impasse in the global climate negotiations through creation of a dialogue between climate policymakers, negotiators and international political scientists.
This project aims to provide support to the Republic of Nauru, as Chair of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), by providing funding for two key positions of Legal Adviser and Climate Change Adviser. In doing so, it is hoped that the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) will take a more active and influential role in climate negotiations, which will in turn provide them with a fair and equitable climate deal.
