CDKN helps developing countries to design and deliver climate compatible development. When decision makers in government, business and civil society speak to us about their aims and needs, they often ask about ‘best practice’ in other countries or, indeed, mistakes to avoid.
With CDKN’s support, Panos South Asia launched the South Asia Climate Change Award (SACCA) Fellows Programme to improve media coverage and public debate around climate and development in South Asia.
The project established a framework agreement with a range of legal and technical suppliers to support the Chair of the Least Developed Country (LDC) negotiating group in the UN climate change process.
CDKN’s support strengthened the ‘community of practice’ working on community based adaptation (CBA) by facilitating their engagement with policy-makers and practitioners working on traditional adaptation practices.
