India is vulnerable to the effects of climate change, with the Himalayan states particularly vulnerable. This video explores the experience of the state of Uttarakhand, which began working on a climate change plan in 2011 with support from CDKN.
A vulnerability and risk assessment was initiated in 2014 and a community level analysis helped form the basis of a policy guidance document called the 'agenda for climate action'. Institutions have since been strengthened to help deal with the effects of climate change, and to secure innovate climate finance solutions.
