Democratising knowledge for transformative climate action
Making knowledge systems more diverse to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders and audiences has been at the forefront of the climate change conversations, especially for adaptation. This blog explores how knowledge brokering could be co-created in an inclusive and innovative manner for resilience building at the local level.
CDKN’s Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) work enhances knowledge and promotes Southern-led leadership on how ecosystem-based approaches for climate adaptation can be implemented in ways that are gender equitable and socially just, leading to positive outcomes for people and nature.
The Namibia programme aims to improve access to climate finance for locally-led adaptation, and amplify the impact of Namibian researchers as they contribute to climate policy and global scientific data that forms the basis for climate action in Africa.

Launch of CDKN in Senegal seeks to accelerate inclusive climate action
On the 16th July 2024, the CDKN programme was officially launched in Senegal, the first francophone country to join the programme in its third phase. Senegal joins Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Namibia as the fifth focal country in Africa, and will be led by ENDA ENERGIE.
