From Tuesday 14th October to Friday 17th October 2014, the Climate Finance Advisory Service (CFAS) will be providing daily briefings on key issues under discussion in the Green Climate Fund's Board Meeting in Bridgetown, Barbados. Sign up to these briefings here for news as it happens.
These briefings are intended to inform – in a concise and objective manner – developing country representatives who cannot attend, as well as the wider climate finance community around the globe about progress made, main points of discussion and key decisions taken at important climate finance meetings. During the Meeting of the Board, topics will include:
- Guiding framework for accrediting national, regional and international implementing entities and intermediaries, including the Fund’s fiduciary principles and standards and environmental and social safeguards
- Initial results management framework of the Fund
- Country ownership
- Private Sector Facility
- Initial resource mobilisation

The Climate Finance Advisory Service offers negotiators, policy makers and advisors in the poorest and most climate vulnerable countries bespoke information and guidance to help them effectively participate in complex global climate finance negotiations. CFAS is a demand-led service aiming to provide climate finance advice in response to queries. It was created by and supported by CDKN, and is delivered by an international consortium of organisations led by Germanwatch, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) - Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
