Ecosystem-based adaptation is listed in the Durban Adaptation Charter as a priority action for local and sub-national governments. This project brings together urban practitioners, policy makers and the scientific community/leading thinkers to draft a “framework” for smart decision-making criteria around Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) and ecosystems management for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).

Project : Modelling the implications of socio-economic development of mitigation actions by developing countries

In considering mitigation actions, policy makers not only need to consider the costs and benefits of embarking on a low carbon development path, they also need to consider the socio-economic implications of any action. CDKN is supporting a research project which will develop cutting edge methodologies to link sectoral and economy wide models in order to address issues critical to the development of climate-compatible policy.
