Saving the vulnerable
Syed Muhammad Abubakar of CDKN Asia, highlights CDKN's role in supporting Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority to develop a risk transfer mechanism. This will eventually contribute to developing a National Disaster Insurance Framework in order to help the vulnerable communities better manage natural hazards.

Hope for Pakistan’s Nationally Determined Contribution
Fareeha Irfan Ovais, CDKN's Project Manager, Low Carbon Scenario Analysis for Pakistan, describes how the work done by the project can be used for the development of Pakistan’s national climate change plan – known in United Nations language as its ‘Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)’.
CDKN supported a project to facilitate Karachi city district government in heat wave management. The activities were designed to initiate a process at the localised level which can build towards the development of heat wave management plan for Karachi.
