Project : Mobilising efforts to reduce deforestation for water, energy and food security in Indonesia

This project examines how Indonesia can transition away from its current 'business as usual' development model and achieve its water, energy and food security goals without further deforestation. In doing so, it identifies opportunities and challenges for the necessary coordinated development strategies that recognise and account for the true value of natural resources, their ecosystem services, and the inherent resource trade-offs between sectors.

Project : Finding the Finance: Climate compatible development in Asian cities

With case studies in India, Indonesia and the Philippines, this project will assess the climate finance needs and gaps for climate compatible development. The team will look at second-tier cities and explore how available financial opportunities can be harnessed to meet those climate finance needs.

Project : Technical Assistance for a Supported NAMA in Indonesia

This project developed a concept for a supported nationally appropriate mitigation action (NAMA) for small and medium scale (1-10 MWe) renewable energy initiatives in Indonesia on a national and province level, with two pilot provinces. The concept was developed by The Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN), government partners and local experts.
