CDKN at CBA18 The 18th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA18) takes place from 6 - 9 May 2024 in Arusha, Tanzania. The CBA conference series aims to bring together a community of practitioners who are collectively seeking to reimagine solutions that enable transformative outcomes, through the agency of communities driving climate action. The conference focused on learning and collaboration around the eight principles for locally-led adaptation and resilience. CDKN participated in two virtual sessions.

It emphasises the need to prioritise resilience as a collective goal, showcases success stories and outlines principles for scaling evidence-based solutions.

CDKN at Adaptation Futures 2023 The seventh edition of Adaptation Futures (AF2023), hosted by Ouranos, the Government of Canada and the United Nations’ World Adaptation Science Programme (WASP), will take place in Montréal from 2-6 October. AF2023 will be a critical meeting point to advance discussion about climate change adaptation in an increasingly complex world. CDKN will be co-hosting three sessions and co-leading a masterclass.
