Emma is the Knowledge and Outreach Manager for CDKN. She has eight years’ experience working for non-profit organisations based in East, West and Southern Africa, and in communicating at multiple levels, from Government representatives and donors, to civil society organisations and community groups. Undertaking a Masters degree with the African Climate and Development Initiative at the University of Cape Town provided her with a thorough grounding in areas such as climate change adaptation and mitigation, climate policy and finance, and an insight into the linkages between climate change, poverty, energy and development in Africa.
