Subcomponent 1 of the National Climate Change Response Strategy (NCCRS) Action Plan for Kenya focuses on mainstreaming climate change into the projects planned in Kenya's economic blue print - Vision 2030.

MAPS-Chile embraces planning for low emissions development
The Government of Chile has embarked on a two-year ‘Mitigation Action Plans and Scenarios’ (MAPS) project, with CDKN’s support. The project aims to generate options for Chile to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions through a process of research and multi-sectoral involvement.
There is now more opportunity than ever to rapidly advance sustainable energy in Central America. , the Worldwatch Institute (WI) will establish a participatory dialogue on renewable energy in seven countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA) region (Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama).

The Zambezi River Basin is the continent’s most important shared river basin due to the large number of riparian states and the extent of availability and dependence on water for development.
