Voices from the Frontline highlights lessons for climate resilience
CDKN's Director Shehnaaz Moosa speaks to the Paris Committee on Capacity-Building (PCCB) about the 'Voices from the Frontline' initiative by CDKN and the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD). This launches a new set of Capacity-building Stories from the PCCB.
The PCCB Network has launched a project entitled Capacity-building Stories, which aims to collect and showcase examples of capacity-building efforts to tackle climate change. The series will highlight ongoing efforts of PCCB Network members hoping to turn this wealth of knowledge, experience, and inspiration into learning opportunities for a wider circle of capacity-building actors, and ultimately, into more impactful climate action.
In the first video of this series, CDKN's Director Shehnaaz Moosa joined ICCCAD's Saleemul Huq in discussing the Voices from the Frontline initiative, which supports communities across the globe to share their stories about how they are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdown. The stories, which are published weekly on the CDKN and ICCCAD websites, capture innovative ways that communities and grassroots organisations are responding to the pandemic. They highlight lessons for how we might support community-led adaptation, build resilience and respond to the climate challenge that we face.
