CDKN launches new on-line features
The Climate and Development Knowledge Network has introduced some changes to its website with the aim of providing a more inviting and easy-to-use service for professionals working in the climate compatible development space.
The updated website includes a number of new features including:
1. An updated homepage: The homepage more clearly explains what CDKN does, where and how. We've also improved the Spanish version of the site, to make it more consistent with the English version. Both versions of the page are much 'lighter' than they were - making them faster and easier to download in areas with lower bandwidths.
2. Improved projects pages: These now include related content such as relevant news stories beneath the project description, ensuring project pages are more comprehensive and easier to keep up to date with the latest information.
3. A new stories section: This allows users to search through CDKN's fantastic collection of articles - including features, news stories, plus report and event announcements - by date, theme, region and/or language.
4. Improved interactivity: Social media buttons have been added to every page, making it easier for you to share CDKN content.
5. Improved Spanish version: This has been updated and improved to provide a better working space for our Spanish-speaking colleagues.
6. A new tools section: We have added a new section on online tools to our resources menu, and this includes the Knowledge Navigator, a CDKN-sponsored guide to climate and development information.
Don’t forget you can keep up to date with CDKN’s latest news via our monthly newsletter, on Facebook, on Twitter and via LinkedIn.
Improvements to the CDKN website have been aided by support from CDKN’s Online Communications Partner, Martineau & Co, together with web developers Aptivate.
Content from the CDKN website is provided by the Alliance partners PwC, FFLA, SouthSouthNorth, ODI, LEAD Pakistan and LEAD International with assistance from Martineau & Co and SPDA, Peru - our Latin American communications partner. We invite guest bloggers from partner organisations to share their insights and opinions on the website from time to time.
We hope the updates improve your experience of the website. Please send any thoughts or comments you have – or any suggestions for further improvements – to Imogen.martineau@cdkn.org
