CDKN film festival, New Delhi
CDKN invites you to join us at our film festival 'We in climate change' where we'll be screening three short films depicting the impacts of climate change in India and Bangladesh, and how communities are fighting back.
When: Monday 7th March 2016 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Where: Lecture room 2, annexe, India International Centre, New Delhi
As the We in climate change film festival nears the end of its tour, we look forward to the grande finale in New Delhi. The festival has already visited Guwahati (with Guwahati University), Goa (with International Centre of Goa), and in Mumbai (with Tata Institute of Social Sciences), reaching out to hundreds of students and changemakers to deliberate challenges posed by climate change and the knowledge discourse.
In partnership with television for the environment (tve), the films shown focus on community perspectives of climate change, climate induced migration and women in agriculture. Screenings are followed by engaging discussions from the audience, ranging from students, academics, film-makers, journalists, development organisations and government agencies.
The three films to be screened, for audience discussion, are:
Climate change and migration: Living on the go
For a safer future: Insights on climate resilience from India
Missing: The forgotten women in India's climate plans
