CDKN and the Green Growth Knowledge Platform will share their expertise under new partnership

CDKN has become a knowledge and programme partner of the Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP). GGKP addresses knowledge gaps in green growth theory and practice to help countries set policies for integrating economic and sustainable development. The Platform is a joint initiative of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the United Nations Environment Programme and the World Bank.

Under the partnership, CDKN will gain access to GGKP’s extended network of scholars, practitioners and policymakers in exchange for sharing lessons and results from the Network’s climate compatible development (CCD) projects and national engagements across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

As leader of the Low Emissions Development Strategies (LEDS) Global Partnership, CDKN is well placed to help GGKP share knowledge about low emissions development. CDKN will also seek to support developing countries to participate effectively in the GGKP.

CDKN's knowledge management programme has been documenting a wide range of CCD policies and practices,” said CDKN’s Chief Executive Sam Bickersteth. “This, together with our first-hand experience of supporting policy design and delivery in 40 countries puts us in a good position to share knowledge with others. Our new partnership will enable to us to strengthen our support in this field while extending the reach of CDKN’s experiences of climate compatible development.
