18 CARICOM leaders endorsed the Regional Framework for Achieving Development Resilient to Climate Change in July

This project is designed to support Bangladesh in developing its evidence base to map out a business as usual scenario, helping the government identify its needs on ‘intended nationally determined contributions’ (INDCs) which will shape its mitigation scenarios. This will finally result in a comprehensive INDC submission to the UNFCCC by the Government of Bangladesh.

Public engagement on issues related to climate change can improve the understanding of what the public thinks and believes about climate change. This can also help build public awareness programmes that are tailored to ensure people are provided with information they need.

This research project is developing and evaluating a framework for climate-compatible, sustainable development strategies which bridge local and national institutions, and integrate across multiple scales of social-ecological processes.

The Zambezi River Basin is the continent’s most important shared river basin due to the large number of riparian states and the extent of availability and dependence on water for development. CDKN supported the drafting of the climate change section for the Government of Zimbabwe's Medium Term Plan (2011 - 2015). The section establishes the need to have a national climate change policy and integrate climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies in economic and social development policies and programmes.
