Technology, tradition and co-existence: How one CDKN partner is working with local communities to monitor and manage their environment
CDKN has been working with Nature and People as One (NaPO), a CDKN knowledge-to-action grantee, since 2024, to support their work on ecosystem restoration and governance by Indigenous pastoralist communities in Mt. Marsabit, a semi-arid region of northern Kenya. This photo story documents NaPO’s Herder Conservation Network initiative, which equips local pastoralist herders with the technical skills and technology to monitor and steward community lands outside formal protected areas.
4PCCD is a project examining the potential of partnerships between public, private and civil society actors to bridge the gap between rhetoric and action in climate change policy.
This project investigates the scope of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions for identifying climate compatible agricultural options that also support other key policy goals.
The project is the second of a two phase effort that seeks to facilitate and develop a prioritised and costed policy research agenda and a Plan of Action approved by the Ministry of Health in Mozambique.

The COP Resilience Hub report synthesises the key overarching messages from the activities during COP26 and aims to help set the direction for future actions towards COP27. CDKN supported the Resilience Hub to facilitate the inclusion of diverse voices and promote knowledge-into-action.
