Researchers, policymakers and members of civil society will showcase their experiences.

Bonn: small progress for climate negotiations
CDKN was at the UNFCCC inter-sessionals in Bonn, represented by our Negotiations Support team, who are working with negotiators from the Least Developed Countries group to build their capacity to have a strong voice in the negotiations. Dan Hamza-Goodacre, Head of Negotiations Support, brought us this mixed review of progress at the talks. But whilst some aspects of the conference might seem like a case of ‘one step forward, two steps back’, there was at least one track where negotiators had something to celebrate: loss and damage. CDKN supports the Loss and Damage consortium, which reported this optimistic outlook on progress and next steps.
Heated discussions about climate finance at the 9th Carbon Expo
Ari Huhtala, CDKN’s Director of Policy and Programmes, catalysed some important discussions around climate finance at the 9th Carbon Expo at Cologne by chairing a panel on ‘Expanding climate finance: linking private flows with low emissions development’ (link to blog). He also blogged about heated discussions on the state of international carbon markets.
