Project : Offsetting carbon for Zambia’s smallholder farmers

Smallholder farmers in developing countries face major barriers to carbon financing: additionality and permanence. This project researched the value of a carbon offset programme that enables Zambian smallholders to plant nitrogen-fixing agroforestry species, as well as improving cost effectiveness through innovative contract design.
