Sights and Sounds of Climate Change on the Great Himalayan Trail A four month trek along the Great Himalaya Trail in Nepal, led by the world record holding mountaineer Apa Sherpa and in partnership with the Government of Nepal, is raising awareness of climate compatible development in this highly vulnerable region. Project : Integrating climate change into food security data collection in Nepal

The Government of Nepal is putting in place a policy framework to address the effects of climate change. The recently approved National Adaptation Programme of Action (NAPA) and Pilot Program for Climate Resilience (PPCR) aim to ensure adaptation to climate change is incorporated into mainstream development efforts.
