Project : Loss and Damage in Vulnerable Countries Initiative

Following a proposal put forward by the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) in 2008, the issue of Loss and Damage was included on the agenda of official international climate negotiations. Despite this achievement, the exact definition of Loss and Damage is still being contested and argued over within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

CDKN is working with the Meridian Institute to support dialogue on the nexus between agriculture and climate change in the context of UNFCCC negotiations. The project aims to facilitate discussion among developing country leaders on agriculture-climate links through a 12 month dialogue process.
