A research team has been set up to generate scientific information on possible options and GHG mitigation scenarios for Peru with representatives from the following sectors: agriculture, energy, forestry, industrial processes, transport, waste and a macro-economic team.

This project will review the effectiveness of various initiatives (including CDKN’s), for supporting international negotiators (in climate change and other fields) and make recommendations to inform CDKN’s work.

CDKN has partnered with the Meridian Institute to bring together a variety of advocacy fund stakeholders for a series of events which will discuss how best to support negotiators in international climate change negotiations.

The Shubh Kal project aims to strengthen community knowledge and voice on climate change impacts and adaptation by increasing their input into local research and policy dialogues and enabling communities to share their experiences of adapting to climate change.

The GLOBE Climate Legislators (GCLI) is dedicated to advancing the legislative response to climate change in 33 key countries and by doing so to help create the political conditions for success in the UNFCCC negotiations under the Durban Platform.

The International Air Passenger Adaptation Levy (IAPAL) is a proposal to introduce a levy on international air passenger travel.

Mozambique is exposed to a number of climate hazards including droughts, floods and cyclones. To date, analysis of the climate change impacts on health, however, has not elaborated the nature and distribution of these impacts, prompting the Government of Mozambique to approach CDKN to undertake an empirical analysis of the linkages between climate change and health.

The objective of this research is to assess the impacts of climate change on current and future development in the Koshi River Basin, due to increased variation of extreme climate and hydrological events, and to propose adaptation measures and policy innovations for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptations.

The projects aims to provide a regional model for the integration of climate change information into risk reduction and rural development planning at the landscape scale that takes stakeholder perceptions, aspiration, and constraints more fully into account while bringing DRR and CCA processes into closer interaction within institutional and policy spaces.

This project studied the systemic factors contributing to flood resilience under changing climate conditions in Gorakhpur district. It sets to identify practical measures for integrating disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA) into planning.
