Project : Adaptation policy options and interventions for climate change induced displaced people of Bangladesh

Over the last decade a new term has entered the lexicon of policy makers and the media: climate change refugees or climate change induced forced displacement. The First Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC AR1) in 1990 noted that the greatest single impact of climate change might be on human displacement and migration.

Project : Climate change and health in Mozambique

Mozambique is exposed to a number of climate hazards including droughts, floods and cyclones. To date, analysis of the climate change impacts on health, however, has not elaborated the nature and distribution of these impacts, prompting the Government of Mozambique to approach CDKN to undertake an empirical analysis of the linkages between climate change and health.

Project : Disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in Koshi River Basin, Nepal

The objective of this research is to assess the impacts of climate change on current and future development in the Koshi River Basin, due to increased variation of extreme climate and hydrological events, and to propose adaptation measures and policy innovations for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptations.
