Beatrice Mosello

In her role as a CDKN Research Programme Officer, Beatrice manages a wide portfolio of research projects investigating issues related to CCD, with a particular focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. She further supports CDKN’s research and technical assistance work in relation to the sub-themes of water security and climate-smart agriculture, as well as on gender mainstreaming.

Beatrice has a PhD in International Politics: her thesis investigated institutional capacity in the water sector to adapt to climate change impacts (in the case areas of Northern Italy and Kyrgyzstan). Beatrice also holds an MSc in International Relations with a specialisation in Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (Switzerland), and a BSc in Development Studies from the University of Pavia (Italy).

Prior to working at ODI, Beatrice was a Visiting Research Student at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the LSE, as well as at the Social Research Centre at the American University of Central Asia in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).

More broadly, Beatrice has research interests in climate compatible development, water governance, natural resources and conflict as well as gender.
