FILM: Climate change and Uttarakhand: The road to resilience
India is vulnerable to the effects of climate change, with the Himalayan states particularly vulnerable. This video explores the experience of the state of Uttarakhand, which began working on a climate change plan in 2011 with support from CDKN.
A vulnerability and risk assessment was initiated in 2014 and a community level analysis helped form the basis of a policy guidance document called the ‘agenda for climate action’. Institutions have since been strengthened to help deal with the effects of climate change, and to secure innovate climate finance solutions.
