How to enthrall and how to drive change
Claudia Martinez and Pippa Heylings report on CDKN’s Knowledge Lab in Colombia this week. The lab was organised to innovate new ideas for communicating climate change and galvanising public action.
Mass media plays a critical role in shaping public opinion, and is indispensable in reaching out to the public. This CDKN project aims to support African journalists in covering climate change related stories and the position of the African Group of Negotiators.
Phase II of the Sub-national Learning Programme on climate compatible development presents an excellent opportunity to build on and enhance the learning achieved in the first phase of the CDKN and ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability) partnership.
