In this webinar the presenters Miguel Rodriguez and Valeria Revilla from the consultancy Environmental Services Bolivia will guide us through the Cities Footprint Project, which includes the measurement of the carbon and water footprints of the municipal governments and the cities of La Paz (Bolivia) Lima (Peru) and Quito (Ecuador). They will highlight the development of action plans to reduce footprints and how the reduction targets were defined. Apart from more technical aspects, this project had an important component that was related to a participatory process with civil society and stakeholders in the development of low-carbon projects and better water management. The presenters will also discuss issues related to identifying sources of financing, and building local capacity for measuring and monitoring the footprints.
