CDKN at Daring Cities 2020
CDKN at Daring Cities 2020
This month, CDKN hosted three sessions at Daring Cities, a virtual conference organised by ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, from 7-28 October 2020.
8 October - Knowledge brokering for climate compatible development
Participants heard from urban decision makers, practitioners and researchers on what they are doing to bridge the gap between knowledge and action at district, municipal and state levels in Ghana, India and Nepal. CDKN also shared emerging insights and learning on knowledge brokering from our work in Asia, Latin America and Africa.
13 October - Financing climate compatible development
Attendees heard best practices to accelerate sustainable and green recovery including various opportunities that can be leveraged to build resilience at the local level to deliver national climate commitments and long-term climate strategies as well as ways to strengthen adaptation and resilience to future shocks.
20 October - Climate knowledge brokering: Voices from the Frontline
Attendees heard stories and voices from the frontline across the globe where grassroots groups have been proactive in innovative ways to respond to the pandemic. We also presented an analysis of the good practices and solutions for future emergencies by experts.
A recording of this session will be available here soon.
