Catalysts of change in India
Catalysts of change in India
CDKN research partner SEEDS have produced a photo essay showing the challenges of climate change in a village in Leh, India. Here, flash flooding in 2010 led to loss of lives and damage to infrastructure. The essays shows the participatory research and planning process subsequently undertaken by the project.
The SEEDS research seeks to identify a district level agenda for multi-stakeholder action that strengthens the integration of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in planning. Comprised of a series of striking photographs with minimal one line captions, the photo essay represents a highly innovative way of communicating the project’s work and impact.
SEEDS and four other research projects are being funded under the South Asia Regional Research Cell, managed by CDKN’s delivery partner START.
