FILM: CDKN in conversation... with Ram Chandra Khanal, CDKN India
Ram Chandra Khanal, CDKN's country leader for Nepal, talks about the impact of climate change in Nepal, with a focus on the agriculture and public health sector, as well as the government policies underway to improve climate change resilience on both a national and a community level.
Glacier lake outburst floods (GLOFs) present a serious threat to the Nepalese, a threat which is increasing daily with rising temperatures. Policies have been implemented at a national level, such as the National Adaptation Programmes of Action (NAPA) and at community level, through Local Adaptation Programmes of Action (LAPAs) to bring about change from the top-down and the bottom-up.
Ram is interviewed by Mairi Dupar, CDKN Global Public Affairs Co-ordinator, as part of the 'CDKN in conversation' video series.
