Miren Gutiérrez is a Research Associate at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI). Her interest is data activism, or how data infrastructures can be utilized for change in development, climate change and environmental issues.
She also advises the Climate and Knowledge Development Network (CDKN), and is a Research Associate at Datactive, Amsterdam, and the director of the Executive Programme ‘Data analysis, research and communication’ at the University of Deusto, San Sebastian.
Miren has been the Executive Director of Greenpeace Spain, Inter Press Service Editor in Chief, and a journalist based in Hong Kong, Panama, New York and Rome, writing and researching for El Mundo, El País, The Nation, Wall Street Journal, UPI and Transparency International. She is finishing her PhD on data activism at the University of Deusto.
