PROYECTO: Conocimiento generado de la Investigación en el Caribe
Sobre el proyecto
El objetivo principal es desarrollar materiales de comunicación y conocimiento que sean estratégicos y que reflejen los resultados de diferentes programas de investigación que CDKN a apoyado en la región. Estos materiales están destinados a los tomadores de decisión y los profesionales del Caribe y esperamos que los mismos que puedan ayudar a:
- Articular los resultados de las investigaciónes que CDKN ha apoyado en la región.
- Generar conciencia en los tomadores de decisiones y los profesionales del desarrollo del Caribe del conocimiento generado por CDKN que pueden ayudarlos a tomar decisiones informadas.
- Catalizar nuevas formas de diálogo y acción en las comunidades profesionales en relación a desarrollo compatibles con el clima (CCD).
- Proporcionar material para el levantamiento de fondos y construcción de capacidades en DCC dentro y fuera de CDKN.

Productos. Se prevé la realización de Paquetes de Conocimiento por cada tema relevante, cada uno consiste en una infografia, un video y un informe de política. Al final del proyecto se realizarán u webinar para compartir este conocimiento con los socios claves y los profesionales del Caribe. Los materiales están en ingles.
Knowledge Package 1 Caribbean climate adaptation – The role of government This knowledge package draws on 68 outputs from CDKN-funded projects that took place in the Caribbean over the last 10 years. Aimed at Caribbean policy makers, researchers and policy advocates, the work provides practical information about how national government can facilitate climate resilience action. The resources give details of how to integrate climate resilience into national plans and policies, assess and strengthen institutional capacity at different scales, and build local networks to deliver climate resilience on the ground.

Knowledge Package 2 Climate risk to Caribbean prosperity This knowledge package draws on 68 outputs from CDKN-funded projects that took place in the Caribbean over the last 10 years. Drawing on CDKN-funded research, it shows how climate change may affect the prosperity and development of the Caribbean region. The resources identify climate impacts to key economic sectors and highlight some of the measures that can be taken to adapt.

Knowledge Package 3 Climate data for the Caribbean. This knowledge package draws on three CDKN-funded projects that took place in the Caribbean over the last decade. It gives an introduction to the CARIWIG datasets and visualisation tools and provides examples of how they have been applied through real-world case studies in the Caribbean. All resources on which this knowledge package is based can be accessed through the resources section

Knowledge Package 4.Adapting to climate change at the local-level. This knowledge package is based on a decade of CDKN-funded research in the Caribbean. It highlights how communities can build local governance networks to collectively understand their climate vulnerability and adaptive capacity. Ultimately it provides the tools to empower communities to build climate resilience and influence national policy making.
