As the Ethiopia Country Engagement Lead for CDKN, Robi provides oversight for CDKN’s projects in Ethiopia, which focus on climate compatible development planning and implementation, climate finance readiness, and knowledge management. Robi led the CDKN support portfolio for the preparation of Ethiopia’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), and for the direct access Accreditation of Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation (MOFEC) by the Adaptation and Green Climate Fund.
Robi has extensive experience as an environmental management and climate change expert, and in this capacity has worked for the World Bank, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), as well as in the private sector, government, civil society, and academia. He holds a Masters degree in Environmental Science (Wageningen University, Netherlands) and a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Assessment (Concordia University, Canada).
