We will be sharing some of our publications and more information on the programme and our activities for 2020.
CDKN side events
City-level capacity-building for climate action

The Local Governments and Cities Day in the 2nd Capacity-Building Hub is designed to enable participants form local, regional and global scales to share and exchange knowledge, case studies, tools and methodologies from capacity-building for climate action in cities. The CDKN event held at the hub will highlight the importance of exploring innovative alternatives for climate resilient urban development in small and medium-sized Latin American cities by sharing experiences from the Climate Resilient Cities project.
Multi-stakeholder driven climate action: Role of women and marginalised communities

Hosts: CDKN, ICLEI – South Asia
The India pavilion will provide a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and important issues concerning climate change action, including the role of women and marginalised communities. CDKN will be sharing their experiences from their three partner organisations regarding engagement practices employed with local women involved in climate resilience action in South Asia, Latin America and Africa.
Incorporating gender, intercultural and intergenerational approaches in climate action

Hosts: Ministry of Environment – Peru and CDKN
The EUROCLIMA pavilion is a platform where stakeholders can delve deeper into the challenges and progress made in Latin American countries on reducing emissions and adapting to the effects of climate change and increasing ambition in their commitments. With the Ministry of Environment of Peru, CDKN will be exploring participatory, transparent and inclusive climate policy planning. In particular the event will consider the way in which intercultural, gender and intergenerational approaches have been incorporated into Peru’s policy design in order to accelerate climate action.
