Context
Effective climate adaptation in Ghana requires robust policies that is informed by local realities and inclusive for all stakeholders. This project addresses gaps in policy engagement empowering youth, fostering regional collaboration, and integrating gender and social inclusion into national frameworks. This aligns with Ghana’s with National Action Plans and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs, the project advances sustainable and integrated climate actions for long-term resilience
Project objectives
- Support the development and implementation of inclusive National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).
- Elevate youth voices in climate policymaking through training and advocacy.
- Facilitate regional collaboration for integrated climate solutions.
- Promote gender-responsive and socially inclusive policy frameworks.
Project activities
Support for the Development of National Adaptation Plans (NAPs)
Provide technical assistance to integrate youth strategies into Ghana’s NAPs, ensuring equitable adaptation strategies.
North Ghana Climate Action Communique
In collaboration with partners this activity brought together regional leaders to develop a collaborative communique addressing climate challenges specific to northern Ghana.
2023 Youth Statement for Climate Action
Empower youth to articulate their priorities and recommendations for national climate policies, presented at key forums.
