Youth Empowerment and Development Aid (YEDA) focuses on addressing the needs of vulnerable populations during disasters. They collaborate with the United Nations and various national and international partners to ensure a quick and effective response. Since the civil conflict in South Sudan began in 2013, YEDA has responded to major disasters by providing essential resources such as shelter, non-food items, water, sanitation, hygiene support, and cash-based interventions. YEDA has often been among the first responders and continues to support affected populations even after the initial response, helping them become self-reliant and build resilience against future shocks and crises.
