Miriam is an environmental lawyer, with more than fifteen years of experience. She is interested in conservation of biological diversity and has extensive experience working with the public and private sector.

She has been appointed as Director General of Biological Diversity at the Ministry of Environment of Peru and Director General of Tourism and Advisor for the Vice Ministry of Tourism at the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.

Miriam joined CDKN in February 2015 as the Country Engagement Leader for the Peru Programme.
