The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) has been commissioned by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) to communicate the findings of IPCC AR5 to decision-makers in developing countries.

This project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of planning departments in ministries and local governments in eight African countries by integrating water security and climate resilience into water-related development planning.
This initiative arose from the need to incorporate issues related to climate compatible development in the Caribbean, in order to raise awareness and publicise not only the threats but also the opportunities that climate change may bring.
