Dr. Revocatus Twinomuhangi, CDKN's country leader for Uganda, talks about Uganda's changing climate and how the threats of persistent drought, flooding and landslides are impacting on the livelihoods of Ugandans.

Climate change poses a great threat to Uganda in terms of the changing rainfall patters; drought is affecting the pastoral sector, shorter rainfall is causing uncertainty in agriculture, and increasing intensity of rainfall poses a risk to crop success and food security. Flooding threatens the cities, while highland areas are vulnerable to increasing frequency of landslides.

To combat these threats, national climate change policy is seeking to build resilience and disaster risk management, as well as long-term adaptation and mitigation priorities within specific sectors.

Dr. Revocatus is interviewed by Mairi Dupar, CDKN Global Public Affairs Co-ordinator, as part of the 'CDKN in conversation' video series.
