The current climate in East Africa is characterised by large variability in rainfall with the occurrence of extreme events such as droughts and floods. Attribution science, such as that conducted by Raising Risk Awareness, can be used to inform decisions about recovery and climate resilience after an extreme weather event, and in planning for the future.
