If  you are aged 14 - 30 and taking action for a greener planet, here’s an opportunity to share your short video story with a global audience and a chance to showcase it at the global climate meeting, COP26 - shares Nick Rance of Earthbeat.

Earthbeat Challenge is a new project which aims to help the global smartphone generation connect, create, and communicate actions, opportunities and solutions to the climate and ecological crisis.

Under the theme of 'Restoring Balance with Nature', Earthbeat is inviting young people worldwide to make a short video on their smartphone and show the world what they are doing in their own lives and with their communities.

Earthbeat will showcase the shortlisted entries on its YouTube channel, promote them to our growing community and feature the best in events at the COP26 international climate conference.

The entrants whose films receive the most YouTube views in each of the three categories, will receive a package of smartphone vlogging gear including microphone, mini light and mini tripod.

Earthbeat Challenge is partnering with four United Nations agencies and running three thematic categories:

  • Climate change;
  • Restoring nature;
  • Restoring land.

For a chance to share your story make sure you upload your three-minute video by 30 September 2021.

Key information 

  • Deadline for video entries is 30 September, 2021 
  • Open to people aged 14–30 years
  • Films up to 3 minutes long, in English or with English subtitles 
  • Enter from any country.
