Reporting for Results-based REDD+ (RRR+) project: Liberia
Benjamin Karmorh of Liberia’s Environmental Protection Agency provided an update on his country’s REDD+ readiness at the First Global Conference for Reporting for Results-based REDD+, 30-31 January 2018 at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei in Milan, Italy.
At the conference, the partners presented their achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. Read the conference blog to learn more about discussions there.
Mr Karmorh described how participation in the RRR+ project has led to Liberia’s strengthening its national capacity in data collection and archiving and national capacity in reporting on the agriculture, forest and other land use (AFOLU). The National Climate Change Secretariat endorsed a National REDD+ Strategy; now Liberia is preparing its second Biennial Report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
