JOB OPPORTUNITY: Communications officer, CDKN, MAPS and SSN
SouthSouthNorth (SSN) is recruiting for a Communications Officer to support its communications and knowledge management activities. The successful candidate will be based in Cape Town and work on SSN’s core programmes –CDKN’s Africa programme and the Mitigation Action Plans and Scenarios (MAPS) Programme – and provide general communications support to SSN on an ad-hoc basis. This exciting job role will involve writing, editing, web content management and dissemination, public affairs, social media work and event organising. The successful candidate will work closely with the CDKN and MAPS Knowledge Management Coordinators.
SSN (www.southsouthnorth.org) is a non-profit organisation based in Cape Town, South Africa, that supports the transition towards climate compatible economies and societies in developing countries. We facilitate this through collaborative and stakeholder-driven country processes as well as local-level action that address climate change and promote equitable access to sustainable development. CDKN’s Africa programme is managed by SSN.
