Reducing emissions of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) has been an important challenge for public and private sector. In recent conventions about climate change has emerged the concept of national appropriate mitigation actions (NAMA). These actions are policies of developing countries to reduce Greenhouse Gases, but they require international finance to be implemented.
Chile Foundation and Minister of Environment of Chile, will organize the workshop “Mitigation actions of GHG: From public to private”, which aims to design a registry of mitigation actions. During the workshop there will be presented the governmental plans of emission reduction in the framework of NAMAs, the experience on mitigation of the Colbun enterprise and there will be discussed the way to register these kind of actions, reviewing the international experience.
